Sounds like LILO is still hanging around in the master boot record. Run
'fdisk /mbr' to solve the problem. (This assumes you're running some
flavor of MS DOS after version 5, including Win95). Other DOSes like
Novell DOS 7 have an option within fdisk to rewrite the MBR.
