Hi,
I believe /usr/games is part of standard PATH. /usr/bin/mh
should only be added to the PATH by people who use it (multiuser
environments).

This is strange. I never saw this problem on any Debian
installation. Unfortunately that doesn't help you :-/
Besides I believe it should look for a terminfo entry instead of
termcap.
