RE: PPP with a dynamic address?

Hi,

You just need to have
127.0.0.1 MyBox localhost

And you don't need 0.0.0...., or at least I havn't had a problem without one.:)

I have been asked by a friend to help set up his machine for ppp, but his
ISP will only provide a "dynamic" IP address. I am a bit confused about
how to deal with the entry in /etc/hosts.
For the system to work properly, is it necessary to update this file every
  time a connection is made?
I haven't tried anything yet. I'm just trying to understand what I need to
do, so I will not look like a total idiot ;-)

  Any pointers appreciated,
