The file kernel-source-1.99.7.list is empty. Can you give me a list
of files to check for before removing mention of it from status?
There is no file "/usr/src/linux". The only file in /usr/src is
.linux-versions which is empty apart from a couple of comments.
I did a "locate kernel" in the hope that it might locate any files
that need removing. Here it is (edited to remove unimportant stuff):
/sbin/installkernel
/sbin/kerneld
/sbin/kernelversion
/usr/doc/copyright/kernel-image-1.99.7
/usr/doc/kernel-image-1.99.7
/usr/doc/kernel-image-1.99.7/LiloDefault
/usr/doc/modules/README.kerneld.gz
/usr/doc/modutils/README.kerneld.gz
/usr/include/linux/kernel.h
/usr/include/linux/kerneld.h
/usr/include/linux/kernel_stat.h
/usr/man/man1/kernelversion.1
/usr/man/man2/get_kernel_syms.2.gz
/usr/man/man8/installkernel.8.gz
/usr/man/man8/kerneld.8.gz
/var/lib/dpkg/info/kernel-image-1.99.7.list
/var/lib/dpkg/info/kernel-image-1.99.7.postinst
/var/lib/dpkg/info/kernel-image-1.99.7.prerm
/var/lib/dpkg/info/kernel-source-1.99.7.list
/var/lib/dpkg/info/kernel-source-1.99.7.postinst
/var/lib/dpkg/info/kernel-source-1.99.7.postrm
Thanks for your help,
