rlogin woes
I am having a couple of different problems when I try to rlogin - let me
give you a little background info first. At our office (we are a R&D facility) we have two subnets one is on
the 204.250.XXX.XXX and the other is an in-house only 10.1.X.X that is
used for testing purposes. Here are the problems that I am having.
1) When I try to rlogin from a Linux host on the 10.1.1.x network to
another Linux host on the 204.250.xxx.xxx network I get an "Unknown error"
reply. FYI - the 10.1.1.x network is connected to the rest of the network
via a router (set as the default gateway for the host).
2) When I try to rlogin from one Linux host on the 10.1.1.x network to
another Linux host on the 10.1.1.x network I get the following reply
"10.1.1.x: No such file or directory."
One final note - I am able to rlogin from a Linux host on the 10.1.1.x
network to a Unix host on the 204.250.xxx.xxx network.
Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreaciated - Scott.
