True, but the fact that there is a gs package in the free distribution
satisfies the dependency properly. The non-free package is only supplied
to provide options for those users who prefer the non-free package.

Having tested the standard installation, both personally and through the
actions of others on the testing group, I am pretty certain that there are
no dependencies left unsatisfied within the main, free, distribution.
