sendmail virtusertable question
anyone know how to get sendmail's virtusertable to write directly to a
file?
e.g.
i want to have an entry in /etc/virtusertable like:
info@virtual.domain /home/virtual/info
at the moment, any mail sent to info@virtual.domain with this setup
bounces with an error message about being unable to write directly to a
file.
I've faked it for the moment by creating an alias in /etc/aliases
like so "info__virtual.domain: /home/virtual/info", and creating the
virtusertable entry to look like "info@virtual.domain
info__virtual.domain". it works, but i feel that it's ugly..
i dont like having to change two config files where one should be
sufficient.
I don't want to do this with procmail or deliver....they're too slow for
this application (too much overhead in forking another process)
before i start hacking into my sendmail.cf rules, has anyone else done
this?
