Linux new comer waiting for help
Hi,
I am a new comer of Unix/Linux. I am trying to install Debian Linux on
my portable, HP OmniBook 5000CTS. I have downloaded the base disks, and
have successfully installed the base system. My questions are:
1) I am using a PCMCIA Xircom CE-IIps network card. It doesn't seem to
work. It works find in Win95/NT.
2) I am using a PCMCIA Microcom TravelCard. I don't know how to check if
it is running properly. It works find in Win95/NT.
3) From INSTALL.HTML, I know the installation is not complete yet even
though I have finished installing the base system. But how could I
continue? If I want to finish installation through a set of floppy
disks, which ones should I download? If I want to finish it through
dial-up FTP, what should I do? Of course I already have a PPP dial-up
account.
Any response is much appreciated.
Rgds, Yi-Jie LI
