xemacs, vm and the "FROM"adress line?

Hi,

does somebody know, how to convince xemacs to use another "From" line
when genrating mail. 

Writing mails with the command line "mail" ends up with the correct
adress line:
> From: dirk@post.lfm.rwth-aachen.de (Dirk Luetjens)

Compoing emails with xemacs ends up in 
> From: Dirk Luetjens <dirk@plus.lfm.rwth-aachen.de>

The original name of the machine is plus. But I set up sendmail to
produce the other adress in /etc/smail/config
> visible_name=post.lfm.rwth-aachen.de

Any ideas?
