It'll begin by asking you which partion you want to initialize (read "format").
Then it'll ask you which drive and which partition you wish to install to.

Very unlikely. AFAIK, Microsoft can't even recognize disk partitions that
aren't their own.

Well, there's good old 'dump', then there's 'taper' (much friendlier than
'dump', then there's 'tob' which is a new package preferred by several of
the Debian developers.

Well, my /usr partition (which includes /usr/local) now has about 450 MBytes
in it. But I have installed many more packages than I use on a regular
basis. On the other hand, my root partition (sans /usr) only holds about
30 MBytes currently. So you might want to increase /usr at the expense
of /.
