Keith Leonard: Finally dusted off my old (almost a year) IBM laptop and installed debian. Nice installation (although a little confusing at times). installed ppp and all the dependent files - but here's the problem: when I use the scripts provided - nothing! no modem activity. Turn on debugging. [give chat the -v option, give ppp the debug option, make sure syslogd is logging ppp's messages.] Maybe the installation scripts should support this as an option? -- Raul
