Actually, there has been a defragmenter for extfs, ext2fs, minix and
xiafs for quite some time.  Check out
ftp://tsx-11.mit.edu/pub/linux/sources/sbin/defrag-0.6.tar.gz.  It was
written by Stephen Tweedle, one of the ext2fs developers.  However,
it's well over a year old though, so I would check with the Stephen to
make sure it's still compatible before using it.
