psfonts and MakeTeXPK

Dear Debian user,

While most of my move to Debian from mcc-interim has gone remarkably
smoothly, I would note a few oddments about the TeX related packages.

1) Some of the packages (dvips, I think), seem to require something
called `psfonts', a package which I cannot trace on any Debian
site. This means that the psfonts.map file in /usr/lib/texmf/dvips is
not configured correctly because it relies on this package.

2) There appears to be no `gsftopk' program in any of the TeX/ps
packages. Since this is a must for using xdvik with postscript fonts,
it seems to be a serious omission.

3) The file /usr/lib/texmf/dvips/render.ps was missing (I think it
belongs in the dvips package). This is necessary for gsftopk to work.

4) The line `$cmd' in /usr/bin/MakeTeXPK should read `$cmd 1>&2' or
else xdvik thinks that an automatically generated font has not been
created when it has!

Any comments about the package psfonts in particular welcome.
