Hmmm, works fine for me so I expect that it could be a corrupt
index.db file. Can you use strace to watch the apropos utility and
then send me the output and a copy of your index.db file. You could
also try a mandb -c to rebuild your index.db file and check that this
fixes things.

I should then be able to reproduce and fix the problem, apropos should
not core dump whatever state the index.db file is in.
