When installing xbase-3 I get many messages like: tar: Could not create symlink to ../Xsession: File exists The package fails to install. What to do? What version of dpkg are you running? If you aren't running the latest version, you should download it from ftp://ftp.debian.org/debian/project/software/dpkg-0.93.72.deb and install it.
