dpkg 0.93.69: bulk configure/removal works better
In 0.93.65 (I think) I introduced a bug that prevents configuration or
removal of multiple packages with complex interrelationships, in most
circumstances.
Thanks to Raul Miller for reporting it (Bug#1209) and to Richard
Kettlewell for posting helpful recipe for reproducing it.
This version also makes cosmetic changes to some of the dpkg options
and to the usage message - most notably, --auto has been split in two.
This will break any of the old access method scripts even more than
they were broken already. Use the new ones included in dpkg since
0.93.68.
You can now get a list of the values for the -D debug option - type
`dpkg -Dh'.
dpkg (0.93.69) BETA; priority=MEDIUM
* dpkg --configure and --remove should work properly when
they have to defer processing (this tends to happen when many
packages are processed at once). (Bug#1209.)
* dpkg --configure and --remove work better when `processing'
several related packages with --no-act.
* dpkg --auto is now two options, --pending or -a (for configure,
remove, &c) and --recursive or -R (for install, unpack, &c).
* dpkg debug options in usage message, and values available (-Dh).
