I have used a perl script (off the net) to download mail, but I use
emacs for everything else so thought it would be excellent to have POP
in emacs.

Yes, I've had a quick look and have contemplated further investigation
when I make time, especially to get PGP/Mime support sorted out.

I have 20 MB but only 25 MHZ 486 which is okay, but certainly not up
to my PowerPC at work :-)
