localepurge ile bütün yerelleri sildikten sonra tekrar TR yerellerini yaratmama rağmen gnome da türkçe yerelini sorunsuz kullanırken konsola geçtiğimde

$ ls -e
ls: e: No such file or directory

Burasi 'ls e' degil mi?
evet yanlış yazmışım ls e

Aynı şey gnome terminal de de var

Konsol derken sanal uc birimleri (VT) kastettiginizi varsayiyorum.
Konsol ve Gnome-terminal'de (ayri ayri) yerel degiskenleri ne
gosteriyor? 'locale' komutunun ciktisini ve (varsa) ~/.profile ve
~/.bash_profile iceriklerini gonderir misiniz?

konsolda tr karakter basarken bir sorun yaşamıyorum fakat
ls e komutunu verdiğimde
Böyle bir dosya ya da dizin yok yerine No such file or directory hatasını alıyorum. GDM den de dil ayarları olarak system default seçili bu arada gdm de ingilizce açılıyor.

GDM'de oturum tipi nedir? Debian/Gnome/Xsession? Oturum tipini Debian
yaptiginizda ne oluyor?

Oturum tipi gnome debian yaptığımda da bişi değişmedi.

ilgili dosyaların içerikleri şöyle ne yapmam lazım ?

emre@debian:~$ cat /etc/environment
LANG=tr_TR.UTF-8
emre@debian:~$ cat /etc/locale.gen
tr_TR.UTF-8 UTF-8

tr_TR ISO-8859-9

Asagidaki komutlar ne diyor?

   validlocale tr_TR
   validlocale tr_TR.UTF-8

debian:/home/emre# validlocale tr_TR
locale 'tr_TR' valid and available
debian:/home/emre# validlocale tr_TR.UTF-8
locale 'tr_TR.UTF-8' valid and available
