Gracias por la ayuda, ya hice el script. En /etc/init.d/skeleton hay una
plantilla para crear nuevos scripts de ese tipo, al menos en Ubuntu.
Guiándome por ese y cambiando algunos detalles quedó como se los muestro
debajo. Sólo le veo un problema, y es que cuando ejecuto "service
pegotesd start" el shell se queda esperando, en lugar de devolverme el
prompt, y sólo puedo seguir en esa consola si presiono Ctrl+C. No
debería ser así no? Cómo puedo recuperar el prompt? Saludos,
