Creo que esto ya debería ser otro hilo.
Ejecuta este comando "/etc/init.d/mysql status" y danos la salida:

En caso de que te falle, ejecuta este comando "dpkg -l | grep
mysql-server" no vaya a ser que este eliminado y haya dejado el script
de inicio. Te pego la salida mia:
