sane y xsane pierden acceso al escaner



Estimados:

Tengo dos máquinas distintas, con distintos escáneres, ambas corriendo
GNU/Linux Debian squeeze.
Me está pasando que cuando quiero hacer un escaneo como usuario común
con xsane, me reporta que no encuentra el escaner. Para que lo pueda
hacer debo desinstalar xsane y sane purgándolo, y luego reinstalarlo.
Ahí sí funciona.
Apago la máquina, vuelvo a encender, y neuvamente no puedo utilizar
xsane, dado que no detecta el escáner como usuario común.
Lo curioso, es que desde root lo hace sin problemas.
Como datos, aporto que los usuarios son miembros de los grupos saned,
scanner y hplip.
Como detalle, agrego las corridas de lsusb, sane-find-scanner y
scanimage -L como usuario y como root. Verán que hay diferencias.
Si alguien sabe a qué puede deberse, agradecería la ayuda.
