problemas con sonido squeeze

recurro a uds porque ya no sé que podrá ser el problema.
ayer instalé squeeze en mi máquina, todo bien, salvo por el sonido.
he estado buscando información al respecto, pero no encuentro nada que
me oriente lo suficiente.
a ver si uds me pueden ayudar un poco a encontrar el camino.
antes de tener squeeze tenía jaunty (ubuntu) y todo iba bien, así que
deduzco es un problema con mi configuración.
adjunto datos. si necesitan conocer algo más, solo preguntenme.
