Problemas de transmision de datos con clientes graficos



Hola a todos,

El problema que describo a continuacion me tiene al borde de la locura, por
lo que
cualquier ayuda y/o sugerencia sera mas que bien agradecida.

Recientemente instale la 3.0 r1 y upgradee Gnome a la version 2.2, usando
wvdial me
conecto a mi ISP sin ningun problema, el lio comienza cuando quiero acceder
a cualquier
sitio web, galeon se queda esperando indefinidamente a que baje la pagina,
por otro lado
balsa descarga mis mensajes usando POP3 sin dificultades pero a la hora de
enviar se queda
en el DATA indefenidamente y para rematar x-chat me dice que no encuentra el
servidor,
sin embargo lo verdaderamente raro y que me deja perplejo es que si hago el
pedido de la
pagina manualmente (usando telnet) o si envio correos manualmente (tambien
usando telnet)
o si hago ping mi.server.irc todo funciona sin problemas.

Anteriormente estaba usando RedHat 8.0 sin dificultades y desde MS windows
tambien
todo funciona sin dificultades. Estuve investigando los pedidos que se
hacian usando ethereal
y todo parece correcto, salvo que al usar algun cliente grafico no se
recibia respuesta,
tambien probe links para ver si era algun problema con el galeon (sin tener
en cuenta
que ni balsa o x-chat funcionan correctamente) pero fue igual de
infructuoso.

Realmente ya no se que pensar, no es un problema con mi ISP pues funciona
perfectamente
en "modo manual", desde windows y anteriormente en RedHat. No creo que sea
un
problema del entorno grafico como tal porque he probado la variante manual
desde una
sesion de gnome-terminal y funciona, en fin que ya no se que pensar, asi que
espero
puedan ayudarme.

Attachado envio los resultados de usar tethereal para loguear el trafico de
red. El fichero
galeon.txt contiene el trafico generado al solicitar una pagina del sitio
www.linux.cu usando
el proxy prox.sld.cu:3128, mientras que el fichero telnet.txt contiene el
pedido realizado
manualmente y el trafico que genera. Espero estos datos puedan ayudar en la
solucion
del problema.
