Até aqui, tudo bem, agora veja:
> xserver-common 3.3.6-41 files and utilities common to XFree86 3.x X
> xserver-svga 3.3.6-41 X server for SVGA graphics cards
> xserver-vga16 3.3.6-41 X server for VGA graphics cards
Estes 3 pacotes são do X 3.3.6 suportados no Woody para o caso de hardwares
antigos que não são mais suportados no X 4.
Caso vc queira EXPLICITAMENTE estes pacotes, mantenha-os e rode o
'dpkg-reconfigure xserver-common-v3', caso contrário, remova-os.
Como vc tem as duas versões instaladas, vc deve ter um /etc/XF86Config e não
ter um /etc/XF86Config-4, o que faz com que, por padrão, seja rodado o X
3.3.6 e não o X 4.
Lembre-se: Caso remova a versão antiga, não esqueça de depois rodar
'dpkg-reconfigure xserver-common' para criar o /etc/XF86Config-4
