mailbox_command = procmail -a "$EXTENSION"
und dann schreibe "DEFAULT=$HOME/mails/" in dei /etc/procmailrc.
Frage: Bist Du sicher, das Du nicht noch die Option "-d %T"
verwenden willst da sonst procmail nicht weis, WELCHE
~/.procmailrc es zu lesen hat?
