TFT ausserhalb der Spezifikation

Hallo liebe Liste,

ich habe mir eine neue Matrox G550 Grafikkarte zugelegt.
Jedoch bekomme ich sie nicht ans Laufen bzw. mein Monitor ( LG 1710 P)
spielt nicht mit. 
Ich hatte die alten Karte, eine Nvidia Gforce4, ausgebaut und die neue 
Matrox eingebaut, anschließend den Rechner gestartet.

xorg erkennt scheinbar alles, jedoch bleibt der Monitor bei umschalten in 
den grafischen Modus schwarz. Dann kommt "Ansteuerung ausserhalb der 
Spezifikation".

Ich habe schon die verschiedensten Variantionen ausprobiert und gurgel 
bemüht. Eine Lösung oder auch nur einen Ansatz dazu habe ich nicht 
gefunden.

Ich hoffe hier kann man mir helfen.

PS: Die Xorg.log kann ich auch noch schicken. Jedoch habe ich keine WW 
oder EE darin gesehen.
