und das hilft wirklich nicht? Bei mir klappt beides. Bist du sicher, dass die
deutsche Sprachversion richtig eingestellt ist?
export LANG=fr_FR@euro ; ooffice
oder in ~/.bashrc "export LANG=de_DE@euro" schreiben
Openoffice interressiert sich vorwiegend für LC_MESSAGES.

[rob@woody:~]$ locale

So ist's Englisch. Wenn LC_MESSAGES nicht gesetzt ist, klappt es so wie
bei Dir. Also entweder unset LC_MESSAGES und dann export LANG=de_DE,
oder export LC_MESSAGES=de_DE.
