Von dessen Forum stößt man dann auch auf

Dort stand jedenfalls, dass cdrecord auf neuen Kernels (irgendein 2.6.8.1)
als root ausgeführt werden muß. Es gab eine Sicherheitslücke, die
geschlossen wurde. Dabei wurde auch das Interface für cdrecord "dicht
gemacht".
