Ich mache das ein bischen anders. Dafür nutze ich das Programm
xmodmap, welches ich bei jedem einloggen in meiner .xsession aufrufe
mit:
xmodmap .xmodmaprc
In meiner .xmodmaprc steht dann z.B.:
! Caps_Lock soll nicht mehr sperren
remove lock = Caps_Lock
! ... sondern stattdessen als weitere Umschalttaste wirken
add shift = Caps_Lock
! linke Windowstaste = {, plus [Umschalt] = [
! keycode 115 = braceleft bracketleft
! rechte Windowstaste = Alt Gr
keycode 116 = Mode_switch Multi_key
Vielleicht hilft dir das ja weiter.
Es hat noch einen Vorteil, du musst nicht jedes mal dein X neu starten
um die Änderungen zu testen.
