Wobei Guido allerdings vollkommen außer acht zu lassen scheint, daß
Patente im Gegesatz zum Urheberrecht nicht die konkrete Umsetzung
"schützen", sondern die Idee an sich.  Wenn das Patent "Lösung von
Problem X" beschreibt, dann kann Guido versuchen, um das Patent
herumzuprogrammieren, bis er schwarz wird.  Solange das Programm
Problem X löst, verstößt er gegen das Patent.

Das ist eines der großen Probleme bei Logik-Patenten
bzw. Software-Patenten.

Wait until somebody patents a means of combining hardware and software
to maintain data processing.  Das würde dann mal eben alle
Betriebssysteme erschlagen.  Gute Nacht.

Auch außer acht läßt er dabei, daß Progress-Bars, Reiter-Menüs,
Netzwerk-Überwachung und ähnliches bereits patentiert ist und es nur
noch eine Frage der Zeit ist, bis wildgewordene Patent-Inhaber
losschlagen.
