ich hatte ein ähnliches Problem.
Die Antwort fand ich in KBear: Questions and Answers

5.3 When I try to connect to a remote ftp server I get messages like: 
unsupported action listDir()

You have set KDE to work with a FTP-proxy, but KBear can't handle proxies. 
I'm sorry :-( If you don't absolutely need to connect to a proxie, just 
uncheck this in KDE and KBear should work just fine.
