[Debian] Kleines Problem mit X

Hallo allerseits,


also, hab vor ein paar Tagen Woody installiert und alles 
lief fein (wirklich alles :) großes lob an die entwickler). 
Naja, nun hab ich aber unter X nur 800x600, was für 
mich zu klein zum arbeiten ist, ich bräuchte da schon die 
1024er. ach ja, benutze Xfree 4.1.0.9 (also was dabei 
ist), ab morgen dann 4.2.0. :)
was mich wundert ist, dass meine normale console auch mit 
1024er auflösung, X aber nicht :-/
Kann mir da jemand nen Tip geben?
