Ici, update-grub ne s'occupe que du système de fichiers déjà monté, dans
le répertoire /boot/ ; il met à jour le fichier menu.lst.
À cause des complications du nommage des disques, il se peut que Grub
perde les pédales et ne voit pas ton disque ?
Essaie un shell grub,
# grub

LA commande magique est sous la touche TAB, j'ai tapé
root (TAB TAB
et grub a trouvé mon seul disque hd0, puis proposé ses partitions...
TAB tout court donne la liste des commandes, tu peux retrouver les
noyaux (plus ou moins) boutables en tapant quelque chose comme « kernel
TAB 0 TAB boo TAB ... », si ton répertoire /boot est dans hda1 ou sda1.
