Merci Christphe, malheureusement encore un programme qui refuse de 
s'installer ...
Bon j'ai donc tenté une commande basique avec transcode, mais le 
processus est trés rapide et me génère royalement un fichier de 2 ko !

Par acquis de conscience j'ai créé ~/.transcode/xvid4.cfg en copiant l 
fichier existant dans/usr/lib/transcode ; du coup plu d'erreur mais 
toujours la même fin :
