Pour compléter, ça fonctionne très bien avec un noyau compilé à la mano sans
initrd:
$ uname -a
Linux cray 2.4.23 #2 SMP dim déc 28 20:09:28 CET 2003 i686 GNU/Linux
$ mount
/dev/sda5 on / type ext3 (rw,errors=remount-ro)
proc on /proc type proc (rw)
devpts on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,gid=5,mode=620)
/dev/sda1 on /mnt/boot type ext2 (rw)
/dev/sda7 on /home type reiserfs (rw)
/dev/sdb2 on /mnt/ext2 type ext3 (rw)
/dev/sdb5 on /mnt/ext5 type reiserfs (rw)
/dev/sdb6 on /mnt/ext6 type reiserfs (rw)
