Some .dpkg-old dating from 2002.

You are the maintainer, so you should know :) It was just a suggestion.
Maybe the easiest would be to retitle my report accordingly and leave it
open for some time (or merge it with #420390 and reopen this one) - from
what I read, I wasn't the only one stumbling over this issue.

Hm. I'm using Sid for some years now and I'm updating my system almost
daily. But yesterday I came across this issue. I didn't observe it
earlier. I don't know, how many people will be affected in the future.
You are the maintainer and I will of course respect your decision, how
to handle the issue.
