Bug#361080: xdvi does not display my dvi correctly



I don't use the lmodern font as far as I know: I just go with the defaults since I'm pretty new to TeX.

All the numbers are consistently different.  However, I suspect this is
just because of different magnification (8 vs. 6).

Many more things in xdvi.2.log.  I attach the complete diff (after
filtering out memory addresses), but here's one particularly interesting

On Loren's system, it seems lm-ec.enc is *not* read.  But I wonder why
mine does read it:

Do you use lmodern fonts in the document, and do you have them installed
in form of the Debian package?
