Interesting; why is it packaged in compiled form and not built from its
source?

The ideal case would be to have all but the first sentence removed, so
that the package may be distributed under the current LPPL, with no
additional restrictions.

But yes, the file under the current license should be removed from the
orig.tar.gz.

OK.  This should probably be done at the same time as a complete license
audit of tetex.  (I may be able to help with such an audit at that time.)

Again, just out of curiosity, why is the package not built from its source?
