Bug#201935: Libtool script used in your package needs updating

Just upgrade, one would say. I should probably explain why I think it
may be better to do nothing, if that is just sufficient.
On the one side, tetex-bin sources are just a compilation of
sources from a couple of places. None of them seem to use automake
(except texinfo which we don't install). And they may have different
ways to deal with libraries, different problems etc. If I change as
little as possible, I feel I'm on the safe side, especially when
forwarding bug reports upstream.
On the other hand, I meanwhile found out that the procedure you
described didn't work. What I described in my first mail was just the
results from running the commands in the toplevel dir. There's an other
directory with ltmain.sh, and there are lots of error messages from
autoconf, and configure isn't rebuilt correctly (it fails with a syntax
error). In case you have time to look at it, I attach a file - the first
line is from libtoolize, the rest is from autoconf.
What do you think - can I close the bug since there seem to be no
problems on mips? Should I first verify on arm? Should I contact
upstream?

Remember to add `AC_PROG_LIBTOOL' to `configure.in'.
Using `AC_PROG_RANLIB' is rendered obsolete by `AC_PROG_LIBTOOL'
You should add the contents of `/usr/share/aclocal/libtool.m4' to `aclocal.m4'.
Putting files in AC_CONFIG_AUX_DIR, `config'.
