Bug#176526: tetex-bin: /var/lib/texmf/web2c/mktexnam does not set PATH correctly
Dear Walter,
over a year ago you reported bug
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=176526 to the Debian
Bugtracking system. One other maintainer, Atsuhito, had doubts that your
analysis was correct. You advised:
,----
| my suggesition is
| that you temporarily create a fake access command in your PATH before the
| proper one at /usr/bin/access and see if
| mktexnam invokes this fake commmand prior to invoking /usr/bin/access which
| it's suppose to....
`----
I tried to do this, but I cannot reproduce the bug. Could it be that it
depends on which fonts are used? It would be great if you could provide
a small example latex document that shows the error. This is what I did:
frank@alhambra:~/latex/test/debian-tetex$ cat `which access`
#!/bin/sh
echo "nix da"
exit 1
frank@alhambra:~/latex/test/debian-tetex$ dvips 236967-marvosym.dvi
