Bug#269930: tetex-bin: pdflatex complains of missing fonts and uses a different (uglier) font

No, there _is_ a bug. The entries used to be in 00updmap.cfg all the
time, but the map files themselves once were in tetex-extra. I must
check when and why they were moved.
