So cmr12.pfb belongs to tetex-extra.

root@drachi:~# dlocate cmr12.pfb
tetex-extra: /usr/share/texmf/fonts/type1/bluesky/cm/cmr12.pfb

For any reason there is an entry for that file in you pdftex.map. I
guess it is originated from /usr/share/texmf/dvips/tetex/bsr.map.
Could you check, if that file exist (or a similar one). If yes: to
which package does it belong? I not to any please remove it, run
updmap and all should be fine.
