Sounds good. Perhaps I'd replace the first * by an + .

I'd say we have to distinguish two cases:

1. The user is dumb. He has that broken line in his language.dat from
tetex-base 2.0.2a-2 and we can assume, that he didn't change it.
2. The user is clever and touched language.dat. I assume in this case
he has commented the line and unbroke language.dat. I don't think
that anybody will put a space in front of that line, without knowing
what he's doing.

I think we can assume one of these case and can make the patterns,
we're looking for, very tight.
