Bug#221793: tetex-bin: xdvi fails on compressed files in read-only directory

The correct fix, incidentally, was to remove all mention of the
template; it is unnecessary, and makes tempfile attempt to use the
current directory rather than the TMPDIR.  Mea culpa.
