Well I am not really an expert but thought that launching a web browser without
you knowing it and on an unexpected URL was a little more than just a "normal"
xdvi bug (something that you typically wouldn't want to do if ever xdvi was used
as root).

Clicking on a hyperlink is less of a problem, since at least you know in this
case that you are feeding a link to a web browser.
