Ah, sorry I overlooked your phrase "configuration files"
and misread it as if it were "conffiles".

I understand now your point.

I misunderstood this point completely.  I thought that a 
configuration file generated with postinst could be handled 
freely at any time in any way but the policy said clearly;

     Configuration file handling must conform to the following behavior:
        * local changes must be preserved during a package upgrade, and
        * configuration files must be preserved when the package is
          removed, and only deleted when the package is purged.

Thanks for your clarification.

Note only one point that update-fmtutil reads only 
/etc/texmf/fmt.d/*.cnf so renaming 05jadetex.ignore
will be sufficient anyway.
