I'll do a new upload of tetex-base today or tomorrow that won't include
/usr/share/texmf/tex/texinfo.

There's one thing that needs to be changed in texinfo: It must replace
tetex-base (<< 1.0.2+20000804-9) or people will still have problems when
upgrading.
