Seems I saw a similar comment on the net somewhere... I do have another 
machine that is on my LAN but fw keeps out all traffic...  Guess I'll shut it 
down and ssh into sarge system before trying it again...

Actually, sarge doesn't 'crash' it just locks up the use of the keyboard or 
mouse..  ctl+alt+backspace, ctl+alt+f1-f6..  nothing works so I can see whats 
happening let along do a graceful reboot..

This is my first DVD (xmas gift.. YES!!) so the only way to try it on my Suse 
sytem would be to physically remove the drive and try it on that box...  a 
little more work than i care to get into... So I really need this groups 
ideas.. I'm so frustrated... :-(
