Mutt, gpg and smime problems

Hi All,

I have used gpg with pine before and am trying to get it working with
mutt. I have generated my gpg key and followed the Debian Reference to
use gpg with mutt. I cannot sign any messages though. When I initially
try to sign an email I get a message that no signature is selected to use
sign as. When I try to use sign as I get a message about not having a
certain file in the .smime directory (which does not exists). I have not
even been able to find out how to create the .smime directory and its
associated files. How do you get a basic gpg system working with mutt?
This is a Debian Sarge system that is completely up to date.

Many Thanks,

Jim Seymour

I started using something better than the "standard" back when IBM advertised
OS/2 Warp on TV. As Linux matured I made the transition from OS/2 v4 to Linux.
