Warning in phpMyAdmin 2.3.3pl1-1 with PHP4 4.2.3-11

In the welcome page of phpMyAdmin, the next warning appears:

You are using PHP 4.2.3, which has a serious bug with multi-byte strings
(mbstring). See PHP bug report 19404. This version of PHP is not recommended
for use with phpMyAdmin.


Im not sure this is the right mailing list for this kind of issue, and i
apologize if this is so.
